My Story

Before I start my story I am unfortuntey one of those people that dream of working from home or owning my own business and having more spare time to do what I want or to spend more quality time with the ones I love.

December 2005

I first starting searching the big world wide internet of ways that I could make money from home, work from home or earn money while I sleep which to me at the time seemed impossible.

I spent hours on end reading website after website, promise after promise and even wasted money on get rich quick schemes and dvds that would make me huge amounts of money in days.

What I found was that they all lied in a very clever way and I was no closer to my dream.

March 2006

I then came to believe that the only people making money on the internet were these people selling this get rich schemes.

I had wasted time and money over months to find that I was no where closer to my dream.

May 2006

Then after a few months I came to the conclusion that what do all these people making money on the internet have in common. Yes they all own their very own website.

I looked into having my own website and the cost of the design, the hosting, the maintenance and being able to learn HTML code, search engine optimisation, graphic design was just beyond my reach. This plan was going to be very expensive and very hard work. Yet again I decided against it.

July 2006

Then one day I came across a site that promised to give you all the tools and guidance your ever need to create a website online for around £20 a month. I got sucked in and starting building a website about a topic they suggested and after 5 months I was earning £0.00, Having all of Zero visitors. I even had to pay a designer for all my graphics. Then as I had no visitors I was paying to have my website in the top of search engines. In total £450 down the drain and what was worse was 5 months of my time down the drain.

November 2006

All the above you have just read was a very disappointing time in my life and how frustrating it all was is unexplainable. I was just about to give up when a friend told me about a company. He said they have every tool your need, they have free guides to read and take you step by step on how to do just about anything. I was curious and so would anyone be after the year I just had.

December 2006

So I took a look, it promised all the tools, they took care of all the difficulties that came with building websites. They suggested that you do a website about something you love and have passion about. They explained that building a website is like building a business for the future. It was explained in manageable chunks. They had all ready-made designs so no extra cost. They build your website in building blocks so that your website was at the top of the search engines without even paying for it. I could go on.

They delivered

I ordered this package and built a website about something I love (that being ponds) and followed their steps. In the second month I had 212 visitors, the third month I had 710 and the fourth was 977 and the fifth over 1000 visitors and so on. As you can see the results were not only impressive they had kept their promise.

They then show you how to monitize your website. Making £2.00 in the second month, £12 in the third and £38 in the fourth. Then the fifth month produced £89. As you can see the more visitors you get the more money you make. The best satisfaction for me was owning a website about something I loved and had passion for. It was filled full of good information and it was working and that made me feel proud.

Just keep creating content

You follow one steady rule, taking your time as you go. You create great content which is found in search engines. This turns into visitors and with so many ways to monitize it creates an income. Then you write more content and so on. All I had to do was concentrate on writing content. All you need is passion and drive and I had plenty.

I will be part time soon

I am now nearly at the stage where I can drop a day or two at work and spend more time at home. My dream is slowly coming true…ok I am not making £1000 a day but I do make money while I sleep even if its £10 a night.

I still have lots of work to do on my website. Then I will be starting a second website and now my partner is considering starting one of her own.

My dream

One day my dream will come true or it is certainly heading in the right direction and we will both be able to work from home in our own time.

That’s my story, its true and it’s not been easy but I am starting to see the light at the end of the tunnel.
